Private Client Solicitor (NQ–4 Years PQE)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor (Newly Qualified to 4 years’ PQE) to join our established and growing Private Client team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of private client matters, high-quality work, and the opportunity to develop long-term client relationships under the guidance of experienced practitioners.The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision and contribute to the continued development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on a wide range of private client matters, including:
  • Wills and estate planning
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Trusts (creation, administration, and variation)
  • Inheritance Tax planning
• Managing files from inception through to completion
• Drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Providing clear, practical, and sensitive advice to clients
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Attending client meetings (in person and remotely)
• Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters as required
• Contributing to business development and networking activities

Qualification:

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify shortly)
• NQ–3 years’ post-qualification experience in private client work
• Strong technical grounding in core private client matters
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong drafting ability
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
• A proactive, team-focused approach

Desirable:

• Experience with high-net-worth individuals
• STEP qualification or working towards STEP (or willingness to do so)
• Previous exposure to trust and tax planning matters
