Ioan Dragoi

Legal Advisor & Director

Ioan studied Law at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, qualifying as a lawyer in 1997. He is a highly experienced practitioner with a long-standing career spanning civil litigation, commercial and corporate law, contract law, administrative law, employment law, and international family law. Prior to Brexit, Ioan practised as a European-qualified lawyer, and he is now registered as a Registered Foreign Lawyer in England and Wales, bringing a genuinely international and cross-border perspective to his work.

In addition to his Romanian legal qualifications, Ioan holds a Master’s degree recognised by the Finnish Ministry of Education and has undertaken academic research at the University of Helsinki, where he worked as a research assistant with the Finnish Centre of Chinese Law and Chinese Legal Culture. This academic background has strengthened his analytical approach and informed his understanding of comparative, European, and international legal systems.

Throughout his career, Ioan has advised individuals, businesses, public bodies, and multinational organisations on complex and often high-stakes matters. He has extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution, including advocacy, strategic case management, and negotiation, as well as drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements for international clients. He is a member of several professional bodies, including European and national legal organisations, reflecting his ongoing engagement with the wider legal profession.

Clients value Ioan’s calm, methodical approach, his ability to manage complex and cross-border matters, and his focus on delivering practical, commercially effective outcomes. His work is driven by integrity, precision, and a strong commitment to guiding clients confidently from initial advice through to resolution.
